This week we got to crown two team champions from two different leagues and they are both first time champions! That is right the NHL season is over and so is the NBA season. Your champions are the ST. Louis Blues and the Toronto Raptors both are first time champions in franchise history. First before we get started lets say congrats to both teams for winning. The Blues needed 7 games to win and the Raptors needed six games and few injuries to do it but nonetheless became the world champs.
First let’s start with the Blues, very rare you go from being the worse team in a certain month of the season then by the end of season winning it all however they had some good motivation in doing so. The Blues caught the news that they had a young super fan named Laila Anderson who is only 11 years old but sadly is battling a life threatening autoimmune disease, its a disease that only a hand full of children get and it was her wish to see the Blues win the cup and sure enough they fought for her to the end and then the best part was, she was there at game 7 and even went on the ice to touch the cup, so good for her, it is one of those feel good moments that you just don’t get often. Now Boston took the loss and trust me they might be crying but the Boston area sport fans have been spoiled with championships.
With Championships Golden State Warriors have been reigning kings in the NBA, this year has been no different except they had to finish second instead of first. The biggest story to come out of this year finals was the Toronto Raptors fans. the team right now is celebrating the first championship in franchise history with bunch of throw away players but the fans stole the show but not in a good way.
There has been an unwritten rule in sports that you just don’t do and that is cheer at someone who just got injured, now I get you sometimes you can get caught up in the moment after all this was the championship but when Kevin Durant went down you knew something wasn’t right. There was no denying the cheers from crowds were loud when Toronto scored but then there was a pause and when the crowd saw Kevin down they got even louder then when their own team scored. At that moment we didn’t know what injury he had, considering he just came back from a calf injury, many thought he was rushed back but even Kevin said he made the choice to come back, we now know that he actually ruptured his Achilles which for what he does, this alter his career.
In the end this just didn’t look good for anyone and you know it is bad when the players on your team tells you to calm it down, even if they try to deny that, it was clear they were unhappy by there fans. At the end as well this is just a game and we have to understand that and the people that we root for and boo are people as well and Basketball like many other sports are just games. I am sure this black eye on the fan base will be a learning experience in which we will have to wait and see next season!

I am going to try to not be too hard on what occurred during Super Showdown. What was amusing and funny when first announced became real sad, real fast. Watching two hall of famers, two legends of the business. Succumb to surreal heat of the stadium and age. Putting on a match that was rather scary at times and nerve racking in all the wrong ways. Especially when you hear stories of how bad Goldberg was after this match. I almost believe they took the jokes to heart a bit, going in. How their entrance would be longer then the match and how bad it could have been. Mixing with their work ethic of wanting to put on the best for the crowd, and they paid for it in a bad way. It took me a few days to gather my thoughts on what I wanted to say about this and have come up with three ways three can remedy this situation.
One, they can have a rematch. Not any time soon. In fact at the very latest, survivor series. Wrestlemania would make sense, but one of the issues during this match was the extreme heat at ring side, and while Florida is no Saudi Arabia. This should be kept in the confines of an arena. Smaller scale to take off some of the pressure and give it a more intimate feeling a smaller venue would give. They learned a little about what the other can do, and what to avoid doing. While this is not what I would like to see happen, may be the most likely outcome is for them to try again.
Second, they simply don’t have another match. Undertaker’s last few matches have all been sliding in quality each time he gets into the ring, and as much hate as people have been throwing on Goldberg in the comments. Taker nearly killed him with that Tombstone. As bad as the attempted jackhammer looked, I flinched out of my chair on that drop to Goldberg’s head. Legitimately surprised that he kicked out, because I thought he was dead. Then there was Goldberg’s botch of the jackhammer, hitting the post and inability to jump for the choke slam due to being injured and battered and more or less, blown up. While, this was a bad way to leave off two legendary careers who have crafted some of our, my, childhood memories. Maybe it would be simply best, if they walk off into the sunset and call it a career.
Third, and the one I feel they should do, is Tag team match. I know, its a little silly to think, but maybe putting them in a tag team match may be for the best. Now, I think they should be together just because it would be easier to find wither two individuals to go against them then each finding one to partner with. Can just have a heel team or two separate heels (Villains) talking down on their match. Use it to build heat from the crowd and let them go on a win streak. Keep it up for a few months and finally have them face the music in a tag match against The Deadman and Goldberg. They can take rests when they need to, younger guys can carry the match and make them look dominate and the finale could look great. Undertaker setting up for the Tombstone on one, the other tries to interrupt into a spear and Taker and Goldberg can end the match on a high note and give us one last final memory.
These two have given us more then enough to be able to drift away into retirement. Knowing they have given us their very best. It was a shame to see how badly they failed, knowing they had tried hard to rebuke the jokes being made about it, especially at a Saudi show of all places. If they can’t go any more, thank you for the great times and memories, and they don’t have anything to gain by coming back again. Some times, it’s best to walk away, but if they feel inclined to do better. Be safe about it, and give us those memories in a tag match. We will be happy just seeing two dominate figures in the business, whopping ass together.
Thank you for reading.

After 7 films in the main series the X-Men films have come to an end and with that being said it did not end in with a bang in fact it fell flat. Some things made sense others did not but as the final film I believe this was the worse film of the series. X-Men films have been on the down fall recently but this was it. Who would have thought that doing a storyline twice would be worse then the first at least with the first time around they had Wolverine but we know Hugh Jackman retired from the role.
This movie opening weekend was the worse of any film and I kid you not, was the film a complete waste of time no, but it was pretty bad. First the crew was back and this time they had to deal with Jean Grey becoming the phoenix now in time film they make you believe it was a power from outer space however they must have forgotten about the ending of the previous film, where the film ends and makes it clear the phoenix power was in Jean Grey all along. Now another plot hole that I found and has been around was the characters ages. Magneto and Professor X should being looking the old guys that they are but instead they look the same as they did in the 60’s, these are big time plot holes that hurt the film.
Another thing that I was disappointed was that the fact that Quicksilver didn’t have one of his fun fast scenes that we were use to seeing, in fact he was hardly in the film except for a few and I do mean a few one liners. Now let’s talk about the action and the action came in the final twenty minutes of the film and when you have a two hour long movie that is suppose to be an action film but instead we got a bunch of running around with a story that was very thin as it was and to have no action to go along with it just made it a snooze fest.
Now as much as it seems like I am bashing this film, there were some good moments, when Jean grey got to use her powers it was a fun ride to see how powerful she truly was and even the performances of many of the cast were on par but hers really did stand out and I am truly sad not to see Sophie Turner do more X-Men films, Who knows maybe Disney will keep her when they reboot the series down the road. I am big Marvel fan and it breaks my heart to give this film a 2 star rating, it wasn’t bad and it had some good moments honestly I would say go see it on discount days and that is HOW X-Men ends!

They say the NFL never takes a break and seems like that is the actually case. You got practices through the year and the Draft and the preseason to free agency it does seem like it is a never ending story. However during the year there are other stories that come about, which seem to be more for the worse then the good at least that is how the main stream portrays it but there are some good stories that the media doesn’t cover. Here is a shocker this one comes from the Pittsburgh Steelers, which full the most part seem to be a full of drama.
Pittsburgh had a good go around with the drama with Bell and Brown two players that the city was glad to see leave and that left a young receiver as the new number 1 guy and fans have been loving him since he got drafted. JUJU Smith-Schuster first came into our hearts when his Bike, that is a Mountain Bike when it was stolen and he had no way of getting to practice and the Steeler Nation came together to find his bike such a touching story but it would only get better.
His skills on the field made him become a even bigger name but the NFL has no clue how fun this young kid is and how much Pittsburgh loves him. JUJU last year become the team M.V.P last season which made Antonio Brown very mad and made him want to get of town. Though he hasn’t actually said that but the evidence is on the wall and he even began to turn on JUJU, they seemed like they could have been best of friends, but that was not the case. We Know Brown is will the Raiders and Bell is with the jets but JUJU is here to stay.
With Becoming the Team M.V.P would change him? Nope that is not the case with him, instead he continues to shine. We are in prom season and sometimes high school couples break up it’s life but it never stopped one fan who broke up with his girlfriend to ask JUJU to go to his prom with him and heck they even had matching velvet suits to match each other and he didn’t mind taking photos and everything but it doesn’t stop there.
In Pittsburgh there is an Amusement park the famous Kennywood, they recently decided to go cheap and go away from the local and famous Heinz Ketchup to Hunt’s Ketchup, only people that worked there knew about this but someone decided to leak the news to the public and the outcry began but no worries JUJU came to KennyWood and handed out packet of Heinz’s ketchup, pretty cool right? I like to think so. No doubt He is loving life and it made me have my interest back into Football and looking forward football season and to see how he does it as the main guy here in the burgh!

This may come as a shocker but I am giving this film a good review, some critics might be bashing it but for the third Godzilla film to be made in the United States but I feel like they got it right this time and they needed to with going into what might be the finale movie of Godzilla in next year’s Kong vs Godzilla movie. We know last time in 2014 the biggest knock of Godzilla was not enough of him, which I actually did like, it was a cheaper way of not having him in the film so much to have the profits look a lot, it was a good move on their part but now it is different.
Let’s start with what I thought was the weakest part of the film and that was the story. Now I know they can’t really do much more here but regardless it was weak. We basically have the broken family that became broken from the events of the last film which one parent being a bad parent but in the thin twist is the good guy and the good parent is really working for the bad guys. They come back together only to broken up again with a death of the real bad guy, sounds confusing but in the film it’s not. They do a good job at introducing a new bad guy though rumor is he won’t be in Kong vs Godzilla which is a smart move but the future is not set with what will happen next.
This film gave us a chance to see where Godzilla lives and rest in between the decades that he is not seen and shows that he was truly worshiped as a god and protector of the humans through out his history which was a good touch. We saw that battles and I thought the effects for this was good and the music for the scenes was another good touch. people may bash the film for having too much monsters on the screen but you saw the story and the writing to make it clear this was going to be a monster movie, I will not bash them for it.
One of my favorite parts was the credits because they told the story after the film with the effects of Godzilla winning and the titans following him and a glimpse what is to come next and how Kong and Godzilla were always destine to fight with the final article headline reading what is a king to a god? To me that was a highlight in those credits.
When it is all said and done I will give this movie 3.5 stars and praise it for being good follow up to both Godzilla and Kong. Numbers are tracking it to be number one this weekend which will be a good start for it because there are plenty of more movies on it’s way!

Sometimes it seems like when you have a good thing going you can never get enough of it, and a few weeks ago now we have learned that we are getting more Star Wars films and more Avatar movies. Now both franchises have been in the news lately. With Star Wars we recently got a title for episode 9 and a trailer to go with it. Avatar hasn’t been around since 2009 but when Avengers: Endgame came out and how much hype it had people brought up Avatar because it is the number one movie of all time. We know recently Disney bought Fox which owns Avatar so in other words Disney owns the top two films of all time.
Now Disney announced that we would getting three more Star Wars films starting in December 2022 then in December 2024 and a third film in December 2026. Now Episode 9 being billed as the last Skywalker film so we know that these films will involve new stories and characters. Disney right now trend water here in which they are 50/50. Rogue one was a success however Solo was a failure by blockbuster terms. The rumors are of course going around that these films could feature the stories from the Knight of The Old Republic which are very popular so it only makes sense but time will tell us. I would guess we will have to wait until at least the beginning of 2022 to even get some details regarding this matter.
When a film makes 2.7 billion dollars you know there will be sequels usually two more on average but now Disney owns it and we getting four more sequels which are set to come out in December 2021 then December 2023, December 2025 and then the series will end in December 2027.
Now I can’t get over how Avatar made 2.7 billion dollars and I wonder no wait I believe the other films will never come close to that number again. Disney will own the month of December for a long time to come and it made sense to do it this way. Why have big time movies under one banner coming out and battling each other and run the risk of losing money. It has been no secret that Disney has been spending money like crazy and you would be dumb to think that they wouldn’t want to start making that money back. Heck they just spent 70 billion just to get Fox so yeah they need to be very smart with how they are releasing their movies so they can get top dollar for their films.
